Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

Israeli forces summon 7-year-old

Ma'an – Israeli forces handed a child a summons notice Wednesday, during a detention campaign targeting the Hebron village of Beit Ummar.

Seven-year-old Muhsen Yousef Muhsen Awad was ordered to appear before Israeli intelligence services at Kfar Etzion detention center, spokesman for the Palestine Solidarity Project Muhammad Ayyad Awad said.

He added that Israeli forces used stun grenades and tear gas during the raid, which saw Ala Muhammad Sleibei, 20, and Muhammad Samir Muhannad Abu Maria, 22, also detained.

Awad said it was the first time a child from the village had been summoned by Israel's intelligence services.

An Israeli military spokesman said the army was not familiar with a summons order being delivered to the child.

The official confirmed the two detentions and said riot dispersal means were deployed in response to rocks being hurled at Israeli forces during the arrest.
