Issue of Palestinian prisoners in Israel is top priority for Fatah

Wafa- Azzam al-Ahmed, member of Fatah Central Committee, said Monday that the issue of Palestinian prisoners in Israel is among the top priorities of President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian leadership.

Al-Ahmed, during a visit to Fawaz Bakhtan, who was recently released after serving 25 years in Israeli prisons, added that any peace agreement must include the release of all Palestinian and Arab prisoners regardless of their political affiliations and residency, including those from Jerusalem and behind the Green Line.
