Palestinian farmers flee settler mob

Three Palestinian farmers fled an attack initiated by 40 settlers from the illegal settlement of Beit Eyin on Saturday...

"While Jabher Mohammed Jaber Slieby, 42, his brother Hassan, 37, and their relative Fathi Ahmad Jaber Sleibi, 42, were working on their lands in the area of Wad Abu Rish, they were attacked by around 40 settlers from Beit Eyin who hurled stones at them using sling shots. None of them were harmed," said Mohammad Awad, the PSP spokesman.

An Israeli patrol was present at the scene, near Beit Ummer to the north of the West Bank city of Hebron, and tried to prevent the settlers from attacking the farmers, Awad said, adding that the farmers "fled, fearful they would be harmed."

...Israeli soldiers continue to block the nearby area of Safa, preventing people in the area from leaving freely, Awad said.

... on Thursday an Israeli soldiers attacked and injured Palestinian shepherds from the Musa Raba’i family, as they grazed their sheep in Humra valley, near the village of At-Tuwani in the south Hebron hills. "The soldiers also attacked the internationals accompanying the shepherds and broke a video camera. Before leaving the area the soldiers arrested one of the shepherds, Musab Musa Raba’i," a statement from the organization said. Full story
