Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

3 detainees mark 21 years in Israeli prisons

Ma'an – Three Palestinians from the Bruqin marked 21 years in Israeli custody on Saturday, head of Salfit Detainees Center said Wednesday.

A statement released by Abdul Nasser Farawneh, himself a former detainee, said the three men were detained on 20 June 1989 and were charged with affiliation to Fatah and killing an Israeli settler.

Fahim Ibrahim 42, Mustapha Al-Hajj, 43, and Bilal Damra 41, were sentenced to life, Farwaneh added.

The detainees' parents appealed to human rights groups to intervene in their cases and call for their immediate release.
