Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

Israel still preventing cars from entering Gaza

Ma’an – Gaza’s transport ministry has denied recent speculation that Israel will allow cars into Gaza.

The ministry’s Hassen U’kasha said in a statement Thursday that despite rumors to the contrary, he had no information to suggest Israel would be allowing cars into the Strip.

He added that the rumors, sparked by media reports of an ease to Israel’s siege on Gaza, have caused car prices to drop significantly as sellers fear prices will collapse if cars, and car parts, are allowed to enter.

U’kasha explained that if and when vehicles can enter Gaza, entry will be controlled to guarantee the stability of the local car industry.
