Press TV- On Thursday, two Palestinians came under Israeli fire while gathering scrap metals in the city of Beit Hanoun in the north of Gaza, a Press TV correspondent reported.
The three others, who suffered injures, were similarly collecting discarded materials.
Israeli forces carried out a self-proclaimed withdrawal from Gaza in 2005. The military, however, continues to carry out repeated attacks on the enclave.
The workers search former Israeli settlements for collectable materials as a coping strategy in the face of an all-out Tel Aviv-imposed siege. The blockade has been depriving 1.5 million Gazans of food, fuel and other necessities for more than three years. Read more
