Israeli military arrests 7 Palestinians in overnight raid

PNN- In a series of Israeli military raids in and near the cities of Tulkarm, Tubas, Jenin, and Ramallah, seven Palestinians were arrested before Wednesday morning.

In the village of Tamoun, near the northern West Bank city of Tubas, 22-year-old Abdul Sitar Khaled Nebi Awda was taken away after his home was searched and military checkpoints were set up outside his village.

Meanwhile in Aktaba, near Tulkarm in the northeast, Israeli forces entered the village before dawn and arrested Salah Alariyyeh, age unknown, after inspecting his home.

The identities of the other five arrestees were unknown at press time.

In the southern West Bank village of Beit Umar, near Hebron, Israeli soldiers blockaded and photographed the al-Nebi Meti Mosque on Wednesday morning and measured the interior space for more than an hour. The troops were accompanied by a rabbi, according to Muhammad Ayad Awad, spokesman for the Global Palestinian Solidarity Project. Read more
