Grandson of known Palestinian philanthropist injured by Israeli fire in Lebanon

Ma'an- The grandson of Palestinian philanthropist Munib Al-Masri was injured by Israeli fire in Lebanon on Sunday, sources told Ma'an.

Al-Masri's grandson, also named Munib, is a university student in Lebanon. He joined a protest in the town of Maroun Ar-Ras at the country's southern border with Israel to mark the 63rd anniversary of the Nakba, "catastrophe" in English, when 760,000 Palestinians were driven or fled from their homes in fighting that accompanied the founding of the state of Israel.

The 22-year-old was hospitalized for wounds sustained when Israeli forces opened fire on the protesters, Palestinian sources in Lebanon said. Read more
