Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

Netanyahu: resolving refugee issue to be outside Israel’s borders

Wafa- Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu has said, in an address to the Israeli parliament Wednesday, that the peace process depends on a solution for the refugees outside the borders of the state of Israel, and that the future Palestinian state must be demilitarized.

Netanyahu renewed his demand for Palestinians to recognize Israel as a Jewish state and end the conflict through an agreement, with Jerusalem and major settlement blocs to remain under Israeli power.

He also expressed his fear of a third Intifada breaking out in the summer, in tandem with the plan to declare a Palestinian state. 'Netanyahu fears he will not be able to stop what will happen in September,' said a top official in the government.

Israeli officials also fear that Palestinian residents of Israel will engage in riots, leading to internal chaos and instability in Israel at such a sensitive time.

Netanyahu is planning to visit several European countries in an effort to gather a number of them to object to the declaration of a Palestinian state.
