Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Egypt denying Australians entry through Rafah

Egyptian authorities [at behest of Israel] have denied an Australian solidarity delegation entry to the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing for the eighth consecutive day.... Rafah was last open for Gazans on 16-18 May, and only patients and aid workers have passed through the crossing since then. Israeli crossings have been likewise shut, with minimal amounts of aid getting into the Strip, and only a handful of patients, visitors and aid workers being allowed in and out of the area.  Full story
