Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

Activists say video shows 'execution' on board Gaza flotilla

Ma'an - Pro-Palestinian activists say a video recently released online shows a US citizen being shot dead on board an aid flotilla bound for the Gaza Strip.

The original clip, which aired on the Turkish TV network Cihan, allegedly shows soldiers firing at a passenger identified as 19-year-old Turkish-American Furkan Dogan.

The video, which also appeared on YouTube, claims to show "the 19 year old Furkan's moment of death. ... his life is put to an end with 4 bullets," according to text accompanying the online version.

Cihan did not respond to inquiries.

Ma'an could not independently verify the tape's authenticity.
