Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

Rights groups plan 'Mother of all flotillas', 1,000 to participate

Ma'an -- International rights groups are preparing to send the "mother of all flotillas" to the besieged Gaza Strip, Israeli press said Tuesday.

European Jews for a Just Peace is one of the organizers of the mission to send more than 30 ships to protest Israel's four-year blockade of the coastal enclave, Hebrew-language daily Ma'ariv reported.

An organizer said 1,000 activists from Spain, Greece, New Zealand, England, the US, Israel and Arab state would participate, Ma'ariv said.

The report added that Israeli-Swedish artist Dror Feiler would be amongst the passengers.

Feiler was onboard the 31 May flotilla which Israeli forces violently raided, killing nine passengers on board and sparking international condemnation. The UN is investigating the raid, which was launched in international waters.
