Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

Palestinians upset with US-Blackwater deal providing security in West Bank

Palestine Information Center- Hamas expressed its utmost objection to the US's hiring of the infamous Blackwater firm for security services in the West Bank, calling the move a suspicious step to protect Israel and Fatah security agencies and persecute resistance fighters.

"We emphasize that our Palestinian land is not an arena for the criminals of that infamous company, who committed anti-humanitarian crimes and scandals in Iraq and Afghanistan and killed hundreds of innocent civilians."

Hamas called on the Abbas-Fayyad authority to review their positions on the firm's services in the West Bank before it's too late. Hamas called the Fatah-controlled authority's silence over the US State Department's move a new political "fall", an escape from national responsibility, and disregard of the Palestinians' security and honor.
