Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

Israel sentences Palestinian child to 14 months in prison

Pal Telegraph - Israel occupation authorities on Tuesday sentenced a Palestinian child known as Yaza Jamal Dandan, 14, to 14 months inside Israeli jails. The child was accused of participating in resistance actions against Israeli soldiers.

According to the Palestinian prisoner’s club, the court also enforced his father to pay a fine estimated with 2000 shekels.

Yazan’ father pointed out that he was prevented from seeing his child after the announcement.

He appealed all human rights institutions and international committees of the red cross to urgently intervene to release Yazan, who was arrested since April 11, 2010 in Israeli Ramonim jail.

It’s noteworthy that Palestinian child prisoners inside Israeli jails are subjected to different types of torture and physical beatings.
