Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

Furthermore, the Israeli Army decided to confiscate Palestinian lands near Al Fawwar Refugee Camp and Doura village, near Hebron.

Human Rights sources reported that six residents received military orders informing them that the army will be confiscating their lands to use it for “military purposes”. All lands in question are agricultural, and are the main sources of livelihood to the villagers.

On Tuesday evening, soldiers closed the Huwwara roadblock, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and also closed the entrances of several nearby villages as Israeli settlers were holding a protest at the main Huwwara road.

Troops also closed the entrances of Beta, Awarta, Einabous and a number of nearby villages, preventing the residents from entering or leaving them.

Dozens of Jewish settlers attacked four workers on Tuesday, while they were repairing houses in the old city of Hebron in the West Bank. The settlers were claiming that the homes “do not belong to the Palestinians”, the WAFA News Agency reported.

The settlers also sabotaged restoration work conducted by the Reconstruction Committee in the Old City of Hebron.
