Al-Ma'asara children remove barbed wire, sustain cuts

Al-Ma'asara residents approached the Israeli separation barrier in their village Friday afternoon, carrying percussion instruments, while children pulled down barbed wire strung along the road each Friday to prevent protesters from reaching the separation wall site, the popular committee said.

Several children sustained cuts on their hands while stepping over and trying to remove the barbed wire, and others fell on the sharp barbs as soldiers pushed them back after threatening them with arrest, the statement added.

As the children and protesters faced off with soldiers, one military vehicle reportedly entered the village from the back and parked on the main road, encircling the demonstrators
