Israel bans lawmaker from leaving West Bank

Israel prevented the second deputy speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council, Hassan Khreisha, from entering Jordan from the West Bank on his way to Brussels on Monday.

In a telephone interview, Khreisha said that he was traveling to Brussels via Jordan in order to participate in a meeting organized by the political committee of the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly. Full story
