Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

Aat least 3,000 mark the fifth year of anti-wall protests in Bil'in

Ma'an
Organizers said at least 3,000 came out to the separation wall cutting the village of Bil'in off from its agricultural lands to mark the fifth year of anti-wall protest by residents.

... A group of Palestinian teens and young men successfully pulled down a slab of the concrete separation wall, as the crowds were met with high-pressure skunk water sprayed at them by Israeli forces in full riot gear.

Soldiers shot tear gas and sound bombs in an effort to disperse the group, demanding the return to Palestinians of confiscated lands.

... Protesting home demolitions, forced evictions

In Sheikh Jarrah, approximately one hundred Israeli and Palestinian protesters amassed in the Palestinian neighborhood on Friday, calling for an end to settlement activity and forced eviction of Palestinians from their homes.

Amidst a heavy police and border guard presence, protesters and evicted families, gathered to denounce both Israeli policy in Sheikh Jarrah and the separation wall's route in Bil'in, which marked five years of anti-wall demonstrations on Friday.

This week's Sheikh Jarrah demonstration was tame in comparison to its Bil'in counterpart, where protesters breached part of an Israeli military fence and were met with riot disposal gear.

In occupied East Jerusalem, protesters marched down to a residential area not marked off by Israeli police but were quickly dispersed.

Palestinian children gathered to oversee the demonstration from a nearby hill, where Israeli riot police were stationed, filming the rally.

Israeli forces attempted to disperse the press and diverted protesters from attaining the residential areas closed off by Israeli police, as settlers entered the contested neighborhood.
