Prisoners demand international inquiry over death [1,200 prisoners suffer from under-treated illnesses]

Ma'an ......Abdullah Abu Rahma, a Fatah-affiliated Palestinian prisoner held at Ofer detention center, called for the formation of a fact-finding committee to investigate Hammad's death and to press criminal charges against the state if their officers are found guilty.

According to statistics from Palestinian prisoners societies, more than 1,200 Palestinians in Israeli custody suffer from under-treated illnesses, while hundreds of others are subject to solitary confinement on a regular basis.... Full story
