Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

Israeli forces destroy Palestinian homes, shops, stables, fruit stands

Ma'an - Israeli forces tore down 10 animal stables in the northern West Bank on Wednesday, onlookers said.

Witnesses told Ma'an that Israeli bulldozers accompanied by military personnel took down the structures south of the Al-Jalama checkpoint in the Jenin district and destroyed a row of fruit and vegetable stands nearby.

Call to Israel's Civil Administration were not answered.

Locals said a series of similar demolitions took place in 2009, and that they were carried out based on accusations that the structures were build without permission.

On Wednesday, eight structures including homes and shops were destroyed by Israeli forces northwest of Ramallah. The Civil Administration said those buildings were illegally constructed on land under Israeli civil and military control.
