Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

Rights group: Israel shielding war criminals

Ma'an - Israel's latest report to the UN on the 2008-09 Gaza war, which details Israel’s response to allegations of international law violations, proves that Israel has failed to fulfill its international obligations, a Palestinian human rights organization said Thursday.

The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights said in a statement that Israel's report, Gaza Operation Investigations: Second Update, "serves to highlight the inadequacies inherent in Israel’s investigative system" and demonstrates the flaws in Israel's accountability system.

Citing several incidents in which Israel provided conflicting accounts of deadly military activity during its Operation Cast Lead assault or "wholly failed" to conduct independent investigations, the PCHR accused Israel of making efforts "to shield the perpetrators from justice."
