Two anti wall protests were organized on Friday in the villages of al-Ma’asara and Wad Rachal near the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem.
The villagers were joined by Israeli and international supporters in both locations.
In the village of al-Ma’asara, people marched after the midday prayers towards the construction site of the wall. Troops stopped the protesters near the village entrance and used tear gas and sound bombs to suppress them.
Troops attacked an international supporter with their batons, lightly injuring her; others suffered effects of tear gas inhalation.
In Wad Rachal, villagers and their supporters reached the construction site of the wall being built on their lands. Soldiers used tear gas to stop them from protesting, with five villagers treated for the effects of tear gas inhalation.
An Israeli activist was arrested by the Israeli troops during the Wad Rachal protest.
