Israeli forces take 6 prisoners at demonstration: 5 foreigners, 1 Palestinian child

Ma’an - Six demonstrators were detained at an anti-settlement protest in Beit Ummar near the West Bank city of Hebron on Saturday.

… Palestine Solidarity Project spokesman Mohammad Awwad said five of those detained were foreign nationals, and the sixth was a 14-year-old villager Mohammad Fakhri Ikhlayel. He added that Israeli soldiers beat them.

… Weekly rallies are held in Beit Ummar to demand an end to the confiscation of village land. The illegal Israeli settlement Karmi Zur is built of 50 dunums of privately owned Palestinian lands, according to Israeli organization Peace Now. Read more
