Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

3 Palestinians arrested near Jenin, Israeli troops close off city

PNN- Israeli raids near the northern West Bank city of Jenin on Thursday morning resulted in three arrested in the village of Kafr Ra’i and a blockade of the road from Jenin to its western neighbor Tulkarm.

Local sources said “special units” entered the village and arrested Mu’tasim Wa’il Malham and his brothers Muhammad and Muntasir after raiding their home and searching their belongings.

In related news, seven military vehicles entered the nearby village of Qabatiya and conducted a “wide-reaching” search operation that targeted several houses but resulted in no arrests.

Troops closed the gates on the road from Jenin to Tulkarm on Thursday morning as well, near an Israeli settlement, and patrols walked up and down the road. The cause of the closure was unknown at press time. It was closed last year for more than nine months.

More than 30% of land in the Jenin area falls behind the Israeli wall, not including a further 25% that is being used for settler roads. Read more
