Palestinian resolution condemning Israeli settlement expansion to be presented to UN Security Council

IMEMC- ...Saeb Erakat, the chief Palestinian negotiator in the peace talks, asserted that a draft resolution condemning Israel's settlement activity is set to be presented to the UN Security Council in February, after the US ends its presidency of the Council.

Erakat also warned to resort to the International Court of Justice should the resolution not be voted at the Security Council, hoping the US would not use its veto. He stated: "We are not condemning Israel. We are condemning settlement activities and we hope the resolution will pass." Read more
