Syria sends relief aid to Gaza

IMEMC- A Syrian popular committee has sent a new humanitarian aid convoy of food and medicines to the Gaza Strip, according to local sources.

According to the Palestine Information Centre (PIC), the new aid convoy of foodstuffs and medical material is heading to Gaza, under the initiative of the Syrian Arab popular committee for the support of the Palestinian people.

Ahmed Abdulkarim, head of the committee, was quoted as saying that four truckloads containing 80 tons of food, medicine, and clothes were sent to the coastal enclave via Jordan to help relieve the Gazans' suffering, especially with the upcoming Christmas and New Year's festivities. Read more
