Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

A dozen police chiefs from major U.S. cities to go to Israel to learn about homeland security

Milwaukee, AP – Milwaukee County [Illinois] Sheriff David Clarke is going to Israel to learn more about homeland security. He's going with group of about a dozen police chiefs and county sheriffs from major American cities from Sunday through April 16. They will discuss best practices in airport security, intelligence analysis and sharing, mass casualty management, security for large groups of people and bomb disposal technology and practices. In a statement, Clarke says he sees the Israeli police and Israeli National Defense as the pre-eminent authorities for homeland security having to deal with it on a daily basis for decades. The American Israel Educational Foundation is paying for the trip.
