IMEMC – Israeli soldiers kidnapped on Monday at dawn six Palestinians in several parts of the occupied West Bank, and took them to interrogation centers. Israel orders West Bank Closure, to close Ibrahim Mosque in Hebron Wednesday and Thursday.
The six Palestinians were detained after the army broke into their homes in Hebron, Bethlehem, Nablus and Ramallah.
The six were taken to interrogation and detention centers under the claim that they are “wanted”.
On Sunday, Israeli soldiers kidnapped two Palestinians near Bethlehem and Hebron.
The army conducts daily invasions into the occupied territories, including areas that are under the “control” of the Palestinian Authority.
On Sunday at night, Israeli Defense Minister, Ehud Barak, order a full 10-day closure in the occupied West Bank as Israel celebrates Jewish feasts.
Although Israel attributed the order to “information regarding potential Palestinian attacks”, the measure is practiced every year during Jewish feasts and national Israeli holidays.
In related news, the Israeli Army decided to close the Ibrahimi mosque in Hebron this coming Wednesday and Thursday due to Jewish Pesach.
The Waqf and Endowment Department in Hebron reported that it received a military order in this regard adding that the mosque, also dubbed as the Cave of Patriarchs, will only be opened to Jewish worshipers.
The department slammed ongoing Israeli violations, including repeatedly forbidding the Athan (call or prayers) at the Ibrahimi mosque, especially during evening time, and subjecting Muslim worshipers to provocative searches while trying to enter the mosque.
