Jerusalem: Israeli forces raid evicted family's tent

Israeli police raided and dismantled on Wednesday a sidewalk tent set up by a Palestinian family evicted by Israeli orders from their East Jerusalem home in August.

....The Al-Ghawis were one of two families from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of East Jerusalem forcibly evicted, whose homes were then handed over to Israeli settlers. More than 50 members of the two extended families were thrown into the street.

The Al-Ghawi and Al-Hanoun families have been sleeping in the street near their former homes ever since the incident while they petition to be returned to their homes.

The international community condemned the evictions, which took place a few blocks from the consulates of the UK, US, and other world powers. Full story
