Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

Palestinian sources reported Thursday that Israeli drones dropped during late night hours hundreds of warning leaflets on areas along the border between the Gaza Strip and Israel warning the residents to prepare for an offensive.

Eyewitnesses reported that the leaflets were mainly dropped on the central district, east of Juhr Ad Deek near Al Boreij refugee camp, and on areas east of Khan Younis where the recent attack was carried out leaving casualties among the Israeli forces last Friday.

The leaflets are warning the residents that the army will retaliate in the coming hours, but did not reveal the nature of this retaliation. The leaflets just stated “Wait the retaliation tomorrow”.

Israel could be planning a large-offensive into the Gaza Strip, although its military leaders were talking about “pinpoint” attacks targeting resistance strongholds and leaders.
