Ma'an - Israeli forces arrested a Palestinian man in Jerusalem and raided homes and villages across the West Bank on Friday, a police report said.
In a raid on a home in Biddo, East Jerusalem, the owner was ordered to bring soldiers all his gold jewelry, estimated to be worth 61,000 shekels ($15,700 US dollars). The jewelry was confiscated and his son was detained, the statement said.
In the West Bank, soldiers raided the villages of Birzeit and Al-Mazraa in Ramallah, Adh-Dhahiriya near Hebron, and Az-Zubeidat in Jericho, but no arrests were made, according to the report.
Police said Israeli forces broke into homes in Jericho’s Aqbat Jaber refugee camp and in the Tulkarem village of Izbat Shufa, while soldiers broke into the Islamic Charitable Society in Hebron, checking appliances before withdrawing.
