Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

Israeli forces abduct Palestinian student, 15 others throughout West Bank

Ma'an -- Israeli forces entered a village in the northern West Bank on Thursday and detained a university student who had been released from custody only one year earlier.

Ahmad Mahmud As-Said, 21, of the Deir Istya village northwest of Salfit, served two years in Israeli prison on charges of resisting Israel and was released in the summer of 2009.

Israeli military officials said a total of 16 detentions were carried out in the Nablus, Jenin, Bethlehem, Qalqiliya and Ramallah areas overnight. All of the detainees were taken in for questioning to unknown locations.
