Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

Israeli military raids West Bank towns, assaults citizens

Ma'an -- Israeli forces launched a series of raids Sunday across the West Bank; entering homes, attacking residents, and delivering summonses ordering citizens to report to intelligence services, police said.

Two summonses were issued to Ahmad Khaled Shamsneh, 19, and Adham A’hed Shamasneh, 20, during a raid on Jayyous, south of Tulkarem.

Police reported that five villages in the Hebron district; Dura, Yatta, Halhul, Ath-Thaherieyah, and Beit Kahel; were raided, and summonses were issued to Mohammad Issa A’safreh, Bajes Mahmoud A’safreh, Mohammad Yousef Ezzat, and Ramadan Mahmoud Hassen Jibril from Beit Kahel.

Meanwhile in Jenin, Israeli forces assaulted Wajdi Walid Mohammad Hasen Qabaha, 24, from Barta’a, at a checkpoint, police said. He was transferred to Jenin’s Government Hospital for treatment, a statement said.

Also in the Jenin area, Salah Din A’ref Ghawadreh, 24, and Wasim Khader Turkman, 28, were admitted to hospital after falling from the separation wall while being pursued by Israeli soldiers, according to the report.

An Israeli spokeswoman was not aware of any military activity in the Jenin area, but confirmed that summonses were issued in Jayyous. The procedure was routine, she said.
