Israeli soldiers fire on demonstrators at anti-wall protest near Ramallah

Maan News Agency - Israeli authorities sent infantry forces into the village of An-Nabi Saleh on Friday in order to prevent the residents from holding their weekly demonstration against the wall and settlements.

Locals said Israeli forces occupied one of the houses in the village to monitor the movement of residents in the village especially those who participate in the weekly demonstration west of Ramallah in the central West Bank.

Soldiers fired tear gas at demonstrators. Two people lost consciousness as they inhaled tear gas, according to witnesses. Clashes also erupted between soldiers and Palestinians but no serious injuries were reported.
