Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Report: Each year, 700 Palestinian children arrested, interrogated, and prosecuted in the Israeli court system

Defence for Children International - DCI-Palestine submitted a report to the EU Sub-Committee on Human Rights. Some key findings of the report include:
-Ill-treatment and torture within the Israeli military court system appears to be widespread, systematic and institutionalised.
-27 percent of child detainees are forced to sign confessions written in Hebrew.
-58 percent of child detainees are transferred to prisons inside Israel, in violation of Article 76 of the Fourth Geneva Convention.
-43 percent of child detainees are not adequately separated from adult detainees.
-55 percent of child detainees complain of inadequate food, water and /or shelter.
