Israel delays release of Palestinian woman prisoner

Tulkarem – Ma’an – Israel refused to release a Palestinian political prisoner, Sana Atef Amro, from the village of Dura, near Hebron on Monday, although she was scheduled to be released.

According to Sima Anbas, herself a former prisoner, the 23-year-old was expected to be released at the end of a six and a half year prison term on Monday. Her family members have been waiting since the early morning at the Al-Jalama checkpoint near Jenin. Full story
