Israeli demonstrators block aid deliveries to Gaza

Bethlehem – Ma’an – Israeli demonstrators blocked the roads leading to the border crossings into the Gaza Strip on Tuesday morning in a protest demanding the release of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit...

...On the Gaza side of the Erez crossing, Palestinians held a demonstration against the Israeli blockade, which has kept only bare essentials dripping into the coastal region since 2007.

The UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported last Wednesday that the number of truckloads of goods allowed into Gaza last week was just 15% of the weekly average from the five months preceding the blockade. Full story
