Nil'in protesters use sunlight and mirrors to thwart Israeli soldiers

More than 200 protesters arrived early in Nil'in Friday and penetrated the Israeli separation barrier before Israeli forces arrived to quash the weekly anti-occupation demonstration.

When Israeli forces arrived, organizers of the protest said, they launched an "enormous amount of teargas canisters" at protesters, who had formed a line parallel to the separation barrier's fence and concrete wall sections. Leaders of the event used mirrors to direct bright sun rays at the faces of soldiers mounted on jeeps and launching the gas at the peaceful crowd. Full story
