Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

Palestinian teens detained near Gilo settlement

Ma'an
Five young Palestinians were detained near the illegal settlement of Gilo, northwest of Bethlehem in the central West Bank, after an incident involving Israeli settlers on Sunday.

According to Fteiha Ziyada, who purportedly witnessed the incident, a mob of settlers beat the youths at a park inside Gilo before the Palestinians were arrested.

Ziyada told Ma'an her two sons, 15-year-old Mahmoud and 18-year-old Muhammad, were detained along with three neighbors, who she identified as Wa'ed Khalaf, 18, Eyhab Khalaf, 17, and Mousa Khalaf, 16.

They were taken to the "Russian compound" Israeli detention center, she added.

The mother said the teenagers were arrested by Israeli forces despite that a group of some 20 settlers attacked them at a park near their house, and that one of them, Wa'ed, was struck in the head.
