Qalandiya will remain tense area until changes are made

The Qalandiya checkpoint blocking the road from Ramallah to Jerusalem was the scene of several confrontations between Israeli forces and Palestinian demonstrators in recent weeks. The close proximity of the separation wall, the Qalandiya refugee camp and Israeli border guards in a non-designed urban setting created the latest flashpoint in the central West Bank.
