Ma'an – Jordan has begun coordinating the transfer of activists on board the Freedom Flotilla injured during an Israeli attack in international waters into Jordan, under King Abdullah II's request.
The Jordanian embassy in Tel-Aviv has taken all necessary measures to funnel those countries' nationals on board the flotilla vessels...
UAE, Kuwait , Bahrain, Oman, Morocco, Algeria and Pakistan have asked to funnel their nationals via Jordan, he added.
On Tuesday, a statement issued by King Abdullah II's office said it was immediately prepared to transfer all the wounded to Jordan, and called on Israel to ensure its citizens' safe return.
Moreover, the royal statement included instructions on the dispatch of a new aid convoy to the Gaza Strip through the Jordan Charitable Foundation, which has delivered humanitarian assistance into Gaza since Operation Cast Lead 16 months ago.
King Abdullah II of Jordan gave directives on Tuesday to prepare immediately to transfer wounded activists of Freedom Flotilla to Jordan for medical treatment.
The international community should take immediate steps to end the "illegal and inhuman siege Israel imposes on the Gaza Strip, and to launch transparent international investigation into the Israeli crime against the Freedom Flotilla," the king wrote.
Medical care will be provided to convoy participants injured during the Israeli attack, the government spokesman noted, saying " we received preliminary reports that all Jordanians on board the flotilla are well and no one was injured in the raid."
