The eight seized were from the Qalqiliya district and the orders were received in Hares village, near Salfit, police said in a daily report.
One of the Qalqiliya detainees was seized at the Allenby Bridge on his way back from Jordan. The others were taken from their homes, according to the police report. None of them were identified.
Meanwhile, soldiers allegedly assaulted a Palestinian whose car was parked near the Azzoun bridge. He was transferred to the hospital for treatment. Police did not identify the injured person.
Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar village, north of Hebron, and detained three young men and a teenager at dawn. Soldiers threw tear-gas canisters into the home of one resident, identified as Ahmad Abu Maria, where his family members inhaled the gas and were treated at a local clinic, village representative Muhammad Ayyad Awad told Ma'an.
None of the Abu Maria family were detained, however, only the four identified as Thaer Abu Hashem, 21, Issam Abu Maria, 21, Khaled Sabarneh, 16, and Tamer Awad, 23. All were taken to an unknown destination. During the incursion, Awad said, troops raided a building, searched and ransacked homes, and forced residents to evacuate.
An Israeli military spokesman said the four were taken for security questioning, and were "suspected of taking part in terrorist activities." He was unable to specify where they were taken.
Israeli forces also invaded the northern West Bank city of Nablus and fired stun grenades, police said. They reportedly withdrew at 5am from the city and no detentions or injuries were reported.
In Jericho, according to the report, border police near the Al-Ouja village searched cars and checked IDs. There were no reports of injury or arrest in that incident.
Two armored Israeli military vehicles crossed into the central West Bank city of Bethlehem late Thursday near the separation barrier, onlookers said. There were no reports of injury or disruption of traffic there.
An Israeli military spokeswoman said the soldiers were searching for a Palestinian suspected of throwing an explosive device toward a military installation in the same general area.
