Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

Israeli military court sentences 19-year-old to 2 more years; she has already served over 2 years

Ma’an – An Israeli military court has sentenced former female detainee Aysha Ibrahim Ghneimat, 19, to two more years in jail, the Detainees Society reported Thursday.

The organization said Ghneimat was detained in September 2009 when she was still in school and again before that for one year. She was arrested shortly after her recent release.

It was not immediately clear why the young woman was being held.
