Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

Israeli officer charged with ordering soldier to run over Palestinian

Ma'an -- Two Israeli officers were indicted Sunday on charges of ordering a soldier to run over a Palestinian and vandalizing Palestinian vehicles, the Israeli news site Ynet reported.

The first case is reported to have taken place in 2008, as Israeli forces broke up a gathering of Palestinians who had blockaded a road near Qalqiliya.

The military prosecution claims there had been no order to hit the Palestinian man with a vehicle.

In the second case, Palestinian vehicles were torched in 2009 during a military operation in Mount Hebron, Ynet reported.

The prosecution said that it decided to try the commanding office in charge.
