Leftist Israeli lawmakers, activists protest new settlement in Jerusalem

Wafa– Leftist Knesset members along with Peace Now activists demonstrated on Wednesday to protest the construction of a new Jewish settlement ‘Ma’aleh HaZeitim’ in the Arab neighborhood of Ras el-Amud, southeast Jerusalem.

Protestors expressed their resentment of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government for building this new settlement in the heart of Jerusalem. Read more
