Israeli soldiers, policemen, carried out 50 Attacks, kidnapped 10 Palestinians In Jerusalem in June; child lost his eye

IMEMC - The Land Research Center In Jerusalem reported that Israeli soldiers and policemen conducted 50 documented attacks against the Palestinian residents of occupied East Jerusalem, and their property, in June.

In its monthly report, the LRC reported that the Israeli Authorities are continuing with their violations against the Palestinians and their property in the occupied city, and that such abuses violate the International Law and the Fourth Geneva Conventions.

The LRC said that the Israeli Authorities forced a Palestinian resident to demolish his own home in the Old City, and issued orders against 22 homes in Al Bustan neighborhood in Silwan. Israel wants to demolish a total of 130 homes in Silwan.

Furthermore, Israeli soldiers and policemen broke into eight homes, and attacked their residents before kidnapping 10 Palestinians.

The center added that Israeli settlers are trying to occupy the remaining homes that belong to members of the Salah family, and started bulldozing the farmland of the family in preparation to place caravans for the settlers to live there.

The land in question was taken away from its Palestinian owners by force in April of 2010.

In related news, Israeli soldiers installed a sand hill that isolated 200 Dunams of farmlands in Al Esawiyya, in East Jerusalem, in preparation to seize them in order to build the so-called Archeological Gardens.

The soldiers also demolished three agricultural structures in Al Abbasiyya neighborhood in Silwan, a storehouse and a wall in Al Thoury, and sealed the entrance of Wadi Hilwa area, north of Silwan.

Furthermore, Israel issued orders to shut down a society and a sports club. This after breaking into the two buildings and searching them causing excessive damage.

The report also revealed that soldiers and policemen attacked women, children and elderly people in the Old City of Jerusalem.

A child of the Qawasmi family lost his right eye while trying to rescue a women who suffocated after inhaling tear gas fired by the Israeli army in Al Bustan neighborhood.
