Israel decides to expand settlements

Maan News Agency - The Palestinian Authority on Sunday said Israel's decision to expand West Bank settlements "unacceptable and wrong."

The decision to build 500 new Jewish-only homes in the West Bank was made within 24 hours of the killing of a family of five in their home in Itamar settlement in the Nablus district.

Israeli authorities are blaming Palestinians for the murders.

Tensions between settler groups and Palestinian communities in the northern West Bank have been high since settlers killed two farmers and injured more than a dozen others in two incidents in February.
