Israeli forces clash with protesters in Jerusalem

Maan News Agency - Clashes between Palestinian protesters and Israeli forces erupted in southern Jerusalem on Friday

Fakhri Abu Diab, member of the land defense committee in Al-Bustan, said that "Israeli soldiers intensively fired gas canisters at residents and their homes.

"Many were hurt after inhaling gas," he said.

Youths threw stones at police vehicles entering alleyways between homes, he added.

Israeli police did not report any injuries but locals said two officers appeared to have been hurt by stones.
