EU calls for restraint in Golan

Ma'an- The EU's foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton called "on all parties to exercise restraint," referring to the death of between 10 and 23 pro-Palestinian marchers killed during a Sunday protest calling for an end to Israel's occupation of Palestinian and Syrian lands.

Syrian television says 23 were killed by Israeli fire while Israel's military says 10 died throwing Molotov cocktails toward landmines in the ceasefire zone, as thousands marched from the Syrian Golan to the Israeli-occupied region of the plateau calling for an end to the 44-year-old occupation.
