Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

Israeli forces fire teargas at young farmers, cause fire that kills/damages 40 olive trees

Ma’an – Israeli forces stationed along the separation wall near the Jerusalem-area village of Qatanna fired tear-gas canisters at a group of young farmers on Monday, the heat from which caused a brush fire damaging 40 trees.

The leader of the village council told Ma'an that the brush around the olive grove was dry and caught fire easily, killing 10 trees and damaging 30 others. He said no fire crews had been notified by the forces though they saw the blaze ignite.
